An apartment as dynamic as its neighborhood

With a situation in a district as alive as that of Châtelet, it was difficult not to opt for an arty and dynamic decoration for this apartment. This is the bias of Sophie Zaghdoun who was inspired by the atmosphere of the surroundings to give this 5 pieces up to date. The decorator has instilled in this place a part of the picturesque spirit of the stalls, tourist places and artists of the neighboring streets.

In the living room, an accumulation of paintings dressed in childish designs adorn one of the walls, and a cork bulletin board reviews all the cultural activities of the moment. In the bedroom as in the living room, the cushions and curtains adorn themselves with colorful patterns and give the rooms cachet. On the wall that faces the dining room table, a photograph of the neighborhood motley in the streets customizes the dining area.

From the living room to the dining room to the 3 bedrooms, the color is everywhere. Pale pink, tangy yellow, turquoise blue ... The hues blend and form a harmonious and discreet rainbow.

In the rooms, ornamental chimneys surmounted by decorative objects are the centerpieces of the decor. As headboards, sections of wall were covered with printed wallpapers. More sober than the living room and dining room, the rooms are no less faithful to the arty spirit of the place. One of the rooms also hosts a colorful office area with an easel and photographs glued using masking tape that are reminiscent of posters sold in the streets of the neighborhood and the famous Parisian cartoonists.

A kitchen and a bathroom in all sobriety

Unlike the rest of the apartment that has undergone a decorative makeover, the bathroom and kitchen have been completely redone, and appear both bright and soothing. In order not to steal the show from the rest of the house, the decor of the bathroom and the kitchen remains intentionally sober. Thus, the mix of colors and materials of the other rooms has given way to light colors and clean lines, evoking well-being and minimalism.
